Team preview: Wright State
Blue Ribbon Illustrated previews the 2003-04 college basketball season, exclusively on Insider.
The Ed Schilling era at Wright State fizzled out last winter with the Raiders losing 13 of their final 16 games, a fatal finish after a 4-0 start in what turned out to be a make-or-break year for Schilling.
The Raiders had won 35 games combined the two previous years, but slumped to 10-18 in 2002-03, despite the presence of two of the Horizon League's top three scorers. It was time for a change.
