The way Bruce Pearl sees it, no school in the nation wanted an NCAA Tournament bid last year more than his Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers.

The school had been playing hoops for 107 years and is overshadowed in its own hometown by the Bucks of the NBA and by Marquette. On March 11, the Panthers made history, thumping Butler, 69-52, in the Horizon League Tournament championship game before a crowd of 10,115 in Milwaukee.
