UNC Asheville's streak hadn't quite reached the epic proportions of the pain Boston Red Sox or Chicago Cubs fans feel, but there was definitely frustration in the mountains of North Carolina.
The Bulldogs were the only original member of the Big South Conference, formed in 1983, that had never been to the NCAA Tournament. That might have been a little easier to swallow if the 'Dogs hadn't been so dang good in recent years.
