Boston University was the consensus choice to win the America East last season and it did, rolling to a 13-3 conference record to finish two games in front of second-place Vermont.

The Terriers were also the logical pick to win the conference tournament, especially after earning the right to host the championship game. But Vermont's David Hehn spoiled the plan by sinking a 10-foot shot with 5.6 seconds left to give the Catamounts a 56-55 victory and their first NCAA Tournament bid.
