Team preview: St. John's
Blue Ribbon Illustrated previews the 2003-04 college basketball season, exclusively on Insider.
Mike Jarvis has a reputation among media types as one of the most standup men in the business. So when asked, he's not afraid to deliver a bit of news that St. John's fans might not appreciate hearing: The Red Storm, one of the worst-shooting teams in the Big East, might not be all that much better this season.
Last season, St. John's was 10th out of 14 league teams in free-throw shooting (.668), 13th in field-goal percentage (.404), and last in three-point accuracy (.314).
