I wish I had Gerry McNamara's jump shot. I could win a lot of "H-O-R-S-E" games. He has one of the prettiest shots in college basketball today. I particularly liked the way he broke down his shot from feet to followthough.
In my free time, I am coaching a sixth-grade team and we spend a lot of time on the proper mechanics of the shot. We start near the rim every practice and I don't let the team shoot 3-point shots because the kids don't have the strength to use proper mechanics from that far away.
