Buzz Peterson is due a check for $1.4 million Thursday after getting fired by Tennessee, the former Volunteers coach told ESPN.com Wednesday.
Peterson is hoping to land a head coaching gig this spring instead of sitting out. Peterson has already been contacted by Coastal Carolina and Florida Atlantic about their respective openings. He might also have interest in Fresno State.
