Challenge provided some evidence

The sixth annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge is in the books, and the scoreboard indicates that the ACC has "won" for the sixth straight year.
This is the second year that the ACC has won the event 7-2, which may indicate that the ACC is the deeper conference. I believe that it is ... this year. In previous seasons, the ACC has prevailed 5-4, which tells us absolutely nothing about the relative strengths of the conferences.
The Challenge is a series of single games, and those single games are affected by location, officials and injuries. I do not consider a series like this to be decided definitively by the bottom team of one league beating the bottom team of another. That is not dispositive of the best league.
