Kidd, Starbury go toe to toe

Finally the playoffs are here, bringing some great matchups across the country. But the one series I will keep a close eye on is the one in my own backyard. To be sure, there are many compelling stories in the NBA's second season, and as we get into the playoffs we will discuss all the different scenarios.

There's KG and crew trying to get out of the first round. The Spurs trying to get respect from the mass media (how can you not respect the defending champs?). What about the Brothers Wallace and their quest for a title in Motown? Now you didn't think I go and not mention the Lakers and Kobe-Gate. What about the Kings, who all of a sudden look as if they might not get out of the first round, going against the Mavericks, who look like they can?

All are filled with drama and will provide compelling viewing over the next few weeks. But as I said earlier, I have to pay close attention to the Lincoln Tunnel tussle and the many levels of intrigue the Knicks and Nets pose.
