Pistons have more fire power in reserves

It's a basic tenet of life in the NBA that you need more than five or six good players to make it through the season because, at some point, somebody is going to get hurt. In an 82-game marathon, it's rare for a team to have its entire roster intact at any one point during the season, let alone for the entire campaign. Then there are the Detroit Pistons. They seem to operate with different rules than the others, as they've glided through the season's first 70 games with nary a hangnail. The Pistons set a record for consecutive starts by the same starting five in a season last week and, unless Rasheed Wallace gets suspended for going over the league's technical foul quota, will keep adding to it every night.
