KOBE SCORES 40 FOR THE 100TH TIME
Kobe Bryant scored 40 points to help lead the Lakers to a victory over the Pistons Friday night. That marked the 100th time in his career that Bryant has scored 40-or-more points in a game, the third highest total in NBA history behind Wilt Chamberlain (271) and Michael Jordan (173). Bryant has scored 40-or-more points in a game with Phil Jackson as his head coach 90 times in his career, the highest total any player has under any head coach in NBA history. The most Chamberlain had under any head coach was 67 (Neil Johnston) and the most Jordan had was 88 (Phil Jackson).
