1. Oct. 5, 2001: Barry Bonds hits 71st home run of season -- it was a first-inning shot off the Dodgers' Chan Ho Park -- thus breaking Mark McGwire's three-year-old record.
2. May 28, 1998: Intentionally walked ... with the bases loaded. It happened in the ninth inning of a game in Arizona, and the free pass left the Diamondbacks clinging to an 8-7 lead. Arizona manager Buck Showalter's strategy "worked," as Brent Mayne followed the intentional walk with a game-ending line-out to right field.
