What Roger Clemens has done this year, winning his seventh Cy Young award at 42 years old, is simply amazing.

Three attributes have set Clemens apart and elevated him to the unique place he'll have in Cooperstown: his competitiveness, his work ethic, and his passion for pitching.

He's a bulldog on the mound. His great stuff helps too, of course, but Clemens has always brought something special to his craft. On top of all that, he has the power of intimidation. He always protects his teammates, and no opponent wants to get in a brush-back contest with him.
