Lowry was bad in the first half of the season, and yes, I admit I gave up on him. His ERA at the All-Star break was 5.07. Was I thinking that his 6-0 run down the stretch last season was a fluke? For more on Lowry, check out Monday's Out of the Box.

The No. 2 guy on the Player Rater for the past week was David Wright, who hit three home runs, stole two bases, batted .481 and scored 10 runs. Not a bad week, eh? I just spoke about this on the Hot List on ESPNEWS, but Wright should no longer be compared to Scott Rolen. He's going to be better. That's right, Wright's ceiling is higher.
