Here’s one thing we know for sure: Sunday will be the last NFL game at the Metrodome this season.

If Minnesota defeats Dallas in the teams’ divisional playoff matchup, it will travel to New Orleans for the NFC Championship Game. That’s the NFC North upshot of the Saints’ 45-14 thrashing Saturday of Arizona.

We’ll have much more on a Vikings-Saints matchup if it actually comes to fruition. But for now we’ll remind you the Vikings have won their past three games at the Superdome (2008, 2004 and 2002), and all came in wild fashion. A quick review:

2002: Vikings win 32-31 after converting a two-point play rather than a game-tying extra point with five seconds remaining. On the play, quarterback Daunte Culpepper twice dropped the shotgun snap before dashing into the end zone.

2004: Vikings amass 605 offensive yards in a 38-31 victory. Culpepper throws for 425 yards and five touchdowns.

2008: Vikings score final 10 points of the fourth quarter and win 30-27. They overcome two punt returns for touchdowns by New Orleans’ Reggie Bush.
