PHILADELPHIA -- Justin Turner, who was hit in the batting helmet by a pitch from Jonathan Papelbon in the ninth inning, maintained he was fine after the Phillies completed Thursday's 3-2 win.

Turner was lifted for a pinch runner, but suggested that was planned should he reach base even before the beaning.

"I'm OK. Don't worry about it," Turner said. "... I got up and ran to first. I'm fine. The one that hit me in the elbow hurt more than that, about a week ago."
