Matt Tuiasosopo delivered a grand slam against starter Adam Wilk in the sixth to break a scoreless tie. Toledo answered in the bottom half, scoring on a two-run single by Ryan Raburn against Josh Edgin. Brad Emaus contributed a solo homer in the ninth to bump the Bisons' lead to 5-2. Fernando Cabrera recorded his 12th save despite allowing a solo homer to pull even with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre closer Kevin Whelan for the International League lead. BINGHAMTON 2, AKRON 1 (suspended): Heavy rain suspended action in the top of the fourth inning. The game will resume Monday at 10:35 a.m. Nick Weglarz had a 3-1 count with a runner on first base and two outs when the umpiring crew opted to place the tarp on the field. The game was officially suspended after the teams waited through a 53-minute delay. The first three and half innings were interrupted by a pair of brief delays. The first pitch was bumped 29 minutes due to impending rain. Following the delay, B-Mets starter Greg Peavey began the game with a perfect inning. Binghamton plated two runs in the second against Akron starter T.J. House. After Juan Lagares stole second with two outs, Joe Bonfe singled through the hole on the left side to give Binghamton the lead. Bonfe scored one batter later when center fielder Tim Fedroff bobbled a single by Kai Gronauer. The Aeros scored a run in the third on a single by Davis Stoneburner. Play was interrupted for another 11 minutes following the completion of the half-inning. The teams nearly squeezed in a full inning before heavy rain rolled back through the area, prompting the game's suspension. In accordance with Rule 4.12(a)(8) of the Major League Rulebook, Monday's regularly scheduled game with be seven innings and will be played following the completion of the suspended game. Box

ST. LUCIE 5, TAMPA 3: Cory Mazzoni tossed six effective innings and struck out six and the Mets rallied with a five-run sixth. The Mets have won all three games in the series to improve to 44-12. Jason Bay played in his second game on a major league rehab assignment as he recovers from a fractured left rib. Bay went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, a walk and an RBI. Bay batted third in the order and served as the designated hitter. Mazzoni (5-0) allowed two runs on five hits with one walk. John Church gave up a run on a hit while walking two and striking out one in relief. Ryan Fraser tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings to earn his second save. ZeErika McQueen had three hits, a run scored and an RBI. Alonzo Harris, Wilfredo Tovar and Juan Torres each drove in a run. The Mets loaded the bases with no outs in the sixth. Torres delivered an RBI single to score Wilmer Flores. McQueen came through with a game-tying single to plate Richard Lucas. Harris then drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home Torres and give the Mets a 3-2 lead. Tovar also walked with the bases loaded to score Robbie Shields. GREENSBORO 8, SAVANNAH 6: Down 6-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Brandon Brown hit the first of the Gnats’ four homers. However, Savannah missed a chance to draw closer when it left the bases loaded for the second straight inning. In the seventh, Travis Taijeron and Aderlin Rodriguez consecutively went deep to pull Savannah within 7-4. Rodriguez finished 4-for-5. He also had homered Saturday. It was his second four-hit game of 2012. In the ninth inning with two outs, Rodriguez singled and Brian Harrison homered as the Gnats closed to within two runs. Charley Thurber then singled to bring Albert Cordero to the plate as the tying run, but he grounded out to end the game. The Hoppers broke in the second inning against starter Alex Panteliodis. The Hoppers loaded the bases with three straight singles to start the frame and then scored runs with a pair of RBI groundouts. Greensboro chased Panteliodis with four runs in the fourth inning to expand its advantage to 6-0. The last batter he faced, Brent Keys, who was leading the SAL in batting average and on-base percentage entering Sunday, singled to score two runs. Panteliodis, who was charged with the loss, has not finished the fourth inning in four of his past five starts. The Gnats are off Monday. Box
