Justin Turner has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo, moving Brad Emaus one step closer to claiming the second-base job.

Because Turner had options, he did not need to be exposed to waivers. That made the move predictable.

"I'm sure Brad is feeling pretty good about himself right now," Turner said.
