The Arizona Diamondbacks have offered Omar Minaya a position as a special assistant to GM Kevin Towers, although Minaya has not yet decided, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The former Mets GM is due to be paid roughly $1.1 million a year through 2012 by the Mets.
Adam Rubin has covered the Mets since 2003. He's a graduate of Mepham High School on Long Island and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He joined ESPNNewYork after spending 10 years at the New York Daily News.
