Tulsa penalty helps put BYU on the board

December, 30, 2011
UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas -- Tulsa had what appeared to be an interception to stop BYU deep in Tulsa territory, but the Golden Hurricane were offsides. After an incompletion on third down, BYU kicker Justin Sorenson made a 35-yard field goal to put the Cougars on the scoreboard.

The kick came with 17 seconds left in the first quarter and at the end of the first frame, Tulsa leads 7-3.

The Golden Hurricane had an impressive first drive, but the BYU defense has since stiffened up.
