Tulsa has early lead in Armed Forces Bowl

December, 30, 2011
UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas -- Tulsa had an impressive opening drive in the Armed Forces Bowl, going 76 yards on 11 plays to take a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

The drive took a little more than five minutes as senior quarterback G.J. Kinne had great protection near the goal line and found receiver Ricky Johnson in the back of the end zone after spending about 10 seconds behind the line looking for someone to catch the ball.

BYU now gets its turn on offense under nice weather conditions. The temperature should climb to the high 60s and there isn't a cloud in the sky.
