Oklahoma Sooners

Coach Jeff Capel welcomes nine new players to the roster this season, the result of an off-season purge that won't have Oklahoma getting much preseason hype. It will, the Sooners hope, be a step in the right direction for a program that has been mostly good for the last three decades.

The key, assistant coach Bryan Goodman said, is chemistry.

"It's our No. 1 priority," he said. "I think with nine new team members, getting these guys together and learning about each other and forming that chemistry is obviously a big issue for us. It's something we're looking forward to. We've talked about as a staff just trying to worry about what we can control."
