You pick: Texas A&M or Oklahoma State?
I agree with David Ubben: We'll get a chance to see exactly how far this new 3-4 defense at A&M has come. We've seen very good signs that its improved and that the system can work. The Aggies are 10th in total defense. They sure have come a long way from 2009.
But OSU offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen has the Cowboys shooting away at opponents. They are averaging nearly 600 yards of total offense and they can get the job done on the ground.
I think this entire A&M team is growing up. I like the direction the program is moving and the improved defense. This could be a nice statement game for the Aggies. If they can go up to Stillwater and win, it gives them a lot of momentum headed into the rest of the conference schedule (not to mention that tough nonconference game with Arkansas next weekend).
I'm taking the Aggies in a close one, but I think they'll do enough on defense to slow down the Cowboys. What's your pick for tonight's game and why?
