Mustangs taking control heading to 4th

September, 18, 2010
DALLAS -- A big defensive stand and a penalty helped the Mustangs grab a short field and a two-touchdown lead against Washington State.

SMU's defense backed the Cougars up and forced a punt out of their own end zone. The Mustangs then needed just 44 seconds, thanks in large part of an unnecessary roughness penalty, to score to go ahead 28-14.

Kyle Padron found Aldrick Robinson in the corner of the end zone from 16 yards out to cap the drive.
