OMAHA, Neb. -- UCLA center fielder Beau Amaral, who has killed TCU all night, struck again in the bottom of the seventh with a ground-rule double that was followed by a sacrifice fly by Niko Gallego to bring in another Bruins run.

Gerrit Cole responded to Taylor Featherston's three-run triple in the seventh by striking out the next three batters (one in the seventh and two in the eighth). However, he followed that by walking Bryan Holaday, and UCLA coach John Savage decided to keep him in after a lengthy discussion.

The next batter, Jason Coats, hit into a fielder's choice, and Cole got out of the inning. Dan Klein is warming for the Bruins, who are three outs from a College World Series semifinal berth.

UCLA leads 6-3, entering the bottom of the eighth.
