Texas tops Big 12 in football; who's next?
There's not much to report about in the college football world this time of year. That leaves the people who cover the sport with time to compile lists that may or may not have any relevance when fall comes.
ESPN.com Big 12 blogger David Ubben came out with his power rankings for the conference. It's no surprise that Texas is No. 1. The Longhorns are followed by No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 3 Nebraska. Here's Ubben's full list.
In the "College Football Live" team's way-too-early Top 25, No. 4 Texas is tops in the Big 12. But the Cornhuskers at No. 7 are rated higher than the No. 12 Sooners.
TCU gets its due at No. 6, while Texas A&M cracks the list at No. 25.
