NEW ORLEANS -- Wake Forest scored the first seven points of the second half and now lead 48-40 with Texas calling a timeout with 16:51 to go.

Sensing Wake's run, coach Rick Barnes quickly inserted Jordan Hamilton (16 points in first half) in place of Dexter Pittman, who missed two free throws in the opening minute.

Texas is now shooting 35.1 percent, a mark that will never get it done tonight. It appears Hamilton is their only hope to score points. Damion James is having an extremely disappointing game in what could be his final game in a Texas uniform. He's 1-of-7 from the field and has five points.
