TCU co-offensive coordinator Justin Fuente has talked to USC about the offensive coordinator position, as ESPNLosAngeles.com's Mark Saxon reported Thursday. A source told ESPNDallas.com that Fuente was in Los Angeles today for the interview.

Saxon also reports that USC is talking to New Orleans Saints wide receivers coach Curtis Johnson about the position.

A few thoughts:

* Fuente is the co-offensive coordinator at TCU, but he calls the plays. He's a vital part of what the Frogs do on offense.

* Would he call the plays at USC? I can't think so with Lane Kiffin as head coach. So I don't know if that would appeal to him.

* The fact that Fuente is interviewing shows how far this TCU offense has come. They've always had a solid defense, but in 2009, they had an offense to go with it on their way to a Fiesta Bowl appearance.
