Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops announced Tuesday that cornerback Dominique Franks was going to skip his senior season and enter the NFL draft.

“We wish Dom all the best and I hope at some point that he’ll also be back to complete his degree,” said Stoops in a release sent out by the university.

Franks played in 39 games, including 27 starts. He had 60 tackles in his career and six interceptions. He also scored three touchdowns -- one on a fumble return and two on interceptions. He returned 29 punts for 346 yards.

Franks, an All-Big 12 player, started in all 12 games in 2009 and had 42 tackles and two interceptions.
