Quick thoughts on third quarter (10-10)

January, 4, 2010
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Here are some thoughts on the third quarter:

* TCU came out with the stop and kept the momentum, but Boise State's defense has really contained TCU's offense well.

* TCU must protect Andy Dalton better in the fourth quarter. The last drive of the third quarter saw Dalton getting all kinds of pressure.

* Statistics are really even in this game. Boise has 218 total yards. TCU has 203. Both teams have 11 first downs through three quarters.

* The next big play or break could really decide this game.
