GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Brandyn Thompson stepped in front of Andy Dalton's pass toward the sidelines and scampered 51 yards for a touchdown to put Boise State in front 7-0 with 11:28 left in the first quarter.

TCU has started slow in games before this year and may be a little nervous on the big stage at the Fiesta Bowl. The Frogs haven't trailed since the Colorado State game in early October.

Dalton tried to get the ball to Antoine Hicks, who may have fallen down as he ran the route. We'll see if TCU can regroup. The huge Boise crowd is certainly into it.

You also wonder if the long layoff has impacted the timing of the offense. But TCU can't afford turnovers against a good Boise State team. That was a bad one there.
