GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Both offenses went three-and-out on the first series. TCU quarterback Andy Dalton nearly threw an interception on his first pass and Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore missed a wide open receiver deep on his first pass.

TCU's Jeremy Kerley had a nice punt return out to midfield, but TCU had a costly penalty and not a very smart one (late hit out of bounds) and they'll start from their own 31-yard line.

Dalton did get a completion at the end of his first drive, a 9-yard gain. TCU still had to punt. We'll see what the next drives look like in moments.
