COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Thank goodness for halftime. Players and fans need a break. Texas went on a 7-play, 64-yard drive in 1:06 and scored with just five seconds left to take a 28-21 lead.

It was a first half full of big plays and exciting moments. Both offenses are clicking, make this a very entertaining game.

Colt McCoy was solid on that final drive, firing balls in tight spots and taking his team the length of the field to regain the lead. Texas also gets the ball first in the second half.

Some halftime stats:

* Texas has 398 total yards to A&M's 245. The Longhorns also have17 first downs to the Aggies' 11.

* McCoy has accounted for 341 yards of that 398 total. Wow.

* A turnover impacted the first half. The fumble on the punt helped A&M get a touchdown. That's the only turnover.

* Texas A&M has 46 rushing yards, but they were finding some holes on one drive. Look for them to try it again in the second half.
