Welcome to Across The Field, a regular feature on BuckeyeNation where we point you to noteworthy Buckeyes coverage here and elsewhere. Think something should be included? Send it to espnkendrick@gmail.com. First, as always, our week in review:
- Camp is finally here, and it's a camp that Urban Meyer promises won't be an easy one.
- Austin Ward finally got a chance to talk to Braxton Miller, who is working at becoming a better leader, a welcomed development on an offense that needs it.
- Fullback Zach Boren has lost 25 pounds and could have a unique role in the Ohio State offense.
- Freshman defensive back Tyvis Powell is one of the youngsters in camp trying to make an impact.

- We've compared the offenses in Inside The Game, a joint series between Ward and WolverineNation's Michael Rothstein (QBs, RBs, WRs-TEs, OLs), and arbitrated by Big Ten bloggers Brian Bennett and Adam Rittenberg. Next week, we cover the defenses.
- In our Time & Change series, Buckeyes linebacker Anthony Schlegel says he gets his football fix by being back around the team as an assistant strength coach.
- Brad Bournival tracked down the stats of every 2013 committed player last season, and thinks there's probably four slots left.

- Or maybe five, depending on what the Buckeyes want to do with the scholarship that belonged to Kenny Hayes.
- On the recruiting trail, we worked the phones for athletes who attended Friday Night Lights and our writers caught up with WR Devon Allen, lineman Marcelys Jones, LB Raekwon McMillan, OT Jarmarco Jones, DE-LB Joe Henderson, athlete De'Niro Laster.

- WR recruit James Quick says he'll make a visit this fall, a receiver committed to Florida State received an OSU offer, and RB David Williams of Philadelphia dropped Penn State and added the Buckeyes to his list.

- And those 2014 linebackers considering Ohio State could be something special.

- Beating Purdue has been an issue in two of the last three years. This year, the Buckeyes can be the spoilers to the Boilers.
- 2013 TE Marcus Baugh of California was in town for the first day of practice.

- There was a lot of confusion early in the week in the Brionte Dunn saga, and plenty of misinformation out there. He won't face a drug charge and pleaded innocent to a disorderly conduct charge after a traffic stop in Alliance.
- We're excited that ESPN has an All-Access series of specials with the Buckeyes that will air beginning Aug. 14 across all of the ESPN networks.
- On the basketball recruiting front, the Buckeyes are in the top five for a big-time guard from Chicago, gave an offer to Toledo power forward Nigel Hayes (the brother of the aforementioned Kenny Hayes) and extended an offer to a 2014 Tennessee guard who is a big-time scorer.

- And we opened up the Horseshoe Pit, our Insider forum where you can interact with our writers regularly - we've got a lot of great plans coming that will utilize this feature.
