In the video above, ESPN's Buster Olney checks in with updates from Red Sox camp and Yankees camp. Olney also writes about Boston's confident camp in his blog this morning (Insider). Here's an excerpt:

There is a lot of confidence here -- not that you could draw it out of a spoken word. Dustin Pedroia politely waded through about a half-dozen questions about the sport-wide perception that the Red Sox are the team to beat until he finally had enough, saying he hadn't heard that about the projections of greatness for Boston. "I really didn't know that," said Pedroia. "I don't really watch TV. Thanks."

And then he was off to the batting cage, where Crawford and Kevin Youkilis and others had other gone through early pre-workout swings. When the Red Sox held a team meeting a little while later, John Henry spoke and so did Theo Epstein and Francona and others, and one theme was about managing those expectations. Just make sure you do what you need to do, they were told, although this group -- like those New York Yankees teams of the late '90s and the Philadelphia Phillies teams of recent years -- probably doesn't need a nudge.
