Ethel O'Connell, widow of former Sox GM, dies at 94

Ethel O’Connell, the widow of former Red Sox general manager Dick O’Connell, architect of the 1967 American League champions, died Sunday at the age of 94 in Belmont, Mass., the team announced. A wake will be held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brown and Hickey Funeral Home in Belmont. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday morning at 9 at St. Joseph Parish, 130 Common Street, Belmont.
