Play our new Boston rank 'em game
July, 13, 2012
Remember "3-Play" back in the day on ESPN.com? We've brought it back (or at least something like it) with our new ranker game that lets you make three predictions about the day in Boston sports. You can play for free, play every day, compete against your friends and even win prizes.
Here's how it works:
* Each morning, check out our Rank 'Em index page or the Rank 'Em module on the ESPNBoston.com index page.
* Click or drag the choices into the order that you predict they will finish and earn points for each correct selection (3 points for No. 1, 1 point for No. 2, and 1 point for No. 3).
That's it! Couldn't be more simple. For today's game, for example, if you think the Red Sox will score 8 runs, the Rays will score 2 and Jarrod Saltalamacchia will get 4 at bats, then you should rank the Red Sox first, Salty second and the Rays third. Make sense?
The game will get even more fun once other seasons start. For example, on a Sunday in September we might ask you to rank the following: Wes Welker catches, Jon Lester strikeouts and Jerod Mayo tackles.
Test it out and let us know what you think. We'll be creating a league in the coming weeks for you to compete against our experts.
