The Red Sox on Saturday sent outfielder Josh Reddick down to Triple-A Pawtucket, leaving the Sox roster with 31 players in camp, including four non-roster invitees. It's expected that relief pitcher Joe Nelson will be reassigned to Pawtucket later today.

Reddick had a strong spring training, playing in 19 games and finishing with a .404 batting average, two home runs, and nine RBIs. But the Sox already have Jeremy Hermida as its utility outfielder.

The club on Friday had optioned infielder Tug Hulett to Pawtucket.
