HOUSTON -- Jacoby Ellsbury missed Friday night’s game because he was sick and it doesn’t appear as if the Red Sox center fielder will be back in the lineup Saturday night against the Astros at Minute Maid Park.

“He’s really sick,” Red Sox manager Terry Francona said after Friday night’s 7-5 win. “We gave him fluids, and IV. He was struggling. We’ll see how he is tomorrow.”

Francona moved Josh Reddick over from left field to center field Friday night, with utilityman Drew Sutton taking over in left.

“[Reddick] is OK out there [in center], but I’d be more comfortable with Ells,” said Francona.

Ellsbury, who missed most of last season because of fractured ribs, had played in each of the Red Sox’s first 80 games. Now only Adrian Gonzalez has played in every game.
